Roberta W. Hughes – Executive Director
Roberta Hughes, RYT and Comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor through Peak Pilates, has been a yoga practitioner since 1992, a yoga teacher since 1998, and a Pilates practitioner and student since 2010. Roberta believes that with the proper training and body awareness, most people can achieve their health and wellness goals, live without pain, and obtain the highest quality of life. In September 2013, Roberta developed The Healthy Me Project, a non-profit dedicated to the health and well-being of teens and adults with developmental disabilities. She aims to help all people embrace a life of Healthy Change while challenging herself to do the same.
John Fichter – CFO
John W. Fichter is a Life and Development Coach in Denver, Colorado. Offering coaching to teenagers, young adults and adults, John teaches and motivates each person he works with through his writing, workshops and retreats. John is able to customize a growth and development journey based on each person’s goals and ambitions. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1956, John believes his place of birth made a significant impact on his life. Growing up surrounded by people of different cultures created a powerful lens for him to experience the entire world as multicultural. John moved to Houston in 1964, where he attended and graduated from The Kinkaid School. John attended Emory University where he graduated in 1979 with distinction, on the dean lists and earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) degree. He was then accepted as a graduate student at the University of Texas where he earned his Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in accounting in 1981. John’s professional experience includes working as a Computer Consultant at Arthur Andersen and then thriving in the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor with A. G. Edwards and Vice-President of Investments at Raymond James and Associates. www.johnfichter.com
Deborah Cartwright is a health and wellness coach, a facilitator in experiential education, and a leadership and team building trainer. She is passionate about good nutrition, physical activity and overall wellness. In her spare time, Deborah enjoys biking, yoga, hiking, and running, as well as spending time with her husband and four daughters. She finds her time with the THMP very rewarding, looks forward to each opportunity with THMP athletes and mentors, and supports THMP vision of reaching our dreams together.
Colette Ann Atkinson is a Registered Occupational Therapist and has practiced in settings ranging from schools, to hospitals, to rehabilitation facilities. A mother of four children, including her youngest, Hanna, who has Down syndrome, Colette has been active in a number of community programs serving individuals with special needs. She is guided by a longstanding passion for individuals with special needs and their families, a profound belief in the potential of every individual, and an abiding faith in God’s love for His creation. Her interests include scrapbooking, hiking, weekend cycling dates with her husband, and Bible study.
